Michael helped get us all set and fixed up as quickly as it could be. He was thorough, efficient, kind, and professional. He left all of the spaces he worked in spotless! “Ted was our electrician. He came to check everything as per our Home Service Contract, which is a great service to get btw! Highly recommend 👌 Anyway, Ted was great. He answered a few Q's that we had, helped explain a thing or two, changed an old plug to a GFI plug at the washer. We felt as if we were his only clients that day, never once made us feel like he had other places to be or that he was put out in any way. He checked all of the electric in the house, not just the HVAC system.”

“Technician Payton English was thorough and thoughtful. He went above and beyond to explain in detail what he discovered going on with my very dated HVAC in my very old home. He carefully tailored repair options for me and called out Aux Home Services in Birmingham to help assess what my home needed; a very big thank you to Paul Dobnikar with Aux for making the trip out today. After 2 of the most stressful days and nights without AC in the AL heat, Payton was back bright and early and worked all day to make sure that my home was cool to get us through the weekend. I also want to thank Clauzell Gater for coming out to assist as this was a tremendous project at my home today. I have used Banks Quarles for various services over the years, and I officially signed up for their annual maintenance program to ensure that I am never in such a dire HVAC situation again. Same goes for plumbing and electrical work which will be inspected annually under their comprehensive maintenance program. I cannot thank this Team enough for the peace of mind and the much needed rest we will all get in my home tonight. I will always recommend your services and I am so very grateful for your amazing work today.”

“We’ve been BQ customers for a while, including with several large purchases (two HVAC systems) and annual subscriptions, but with some of the automated customer responses and delays in getting emergency services when kitchen plumbing went out, we considered changing service providers for plumbing and other home things. However, when Kevin showed up, he single-handedly changed our minds because of the quality of his work, his professionalism, and communication. We’ve worked with him in other non emergent situations and been pleased, but because of this experience with his persistence and dedication, we will stay with BQ because of him and will ask specifically for him whenever we need plumbing services in future (despite the more elevated pricing BQ has compared to other companies in the area).”

“I wanted to share my experience with Banks Quarles Plumbing Heat. My technician was Payton English. He came out to do our VIP Comfort inspection for the summer of 2025. First I would like to say how much care and time he took doing our inspection. He treated our home as if it was his own. He went over his concerns with my husband and I. We have one new unit and one that is 12 years old. First the new unit was preforming pretty well. He noticed it needed to be set up with our internet and unit information. After that his concern was the humidity was reading high. So he suggested that we get a dehumidifier and our reading would drop from 72 percent down into fifty. Which would make it feel cooler and make the new unit not run as hard. On to the older unit. It was cooling good but he found insulation in the line and cleaned it out. Next he gave us a quote doing the least to the most. We decided to do the system restoration and enhancements. To replace all start components. Which was a contactor, the capacitor and a hard start. This will make our old unit run must better and make it last for a while longer. He is giving us 3 years on parts which means we would only pay labor. With the time and care he put into our home we now will only have him for our regular technician. I would give him a rating of 10 plus. Five stars out of 5. So if you are looking for a company you can truly trust and feel comfortable with Banks Quarles Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical this is your company. I recommend Payton English. He was able to identify the cause of our HVAC issue--squirrels had damaged some wires near the outdoor unit--and make the repairs efficiently. Not only that, but he managed to capture and rehome one of the offending squirrels! This was an amazing service visit. Payton is a terrific, talented guy and we can't thank him enough.”

And he was considerate enough to ask if we wanted the parts he took off from the line and wall bagged for insurance purposes!! If he hadn’t mentioned it I would never have thought about keeping them!! And thank goodness he did because that was one of the first things they asked for!! I am VERY happy with the work that he did in my home as well as the clean up he did afterwards!! My husband and I are both appreciative of his tolerance for our hyperactive dog (whom was in his pet crate) that thinks he is crossbred with a kangaroo while doing all of this as well!! “Thankful they scheduled our routine maintenance for the day before the Alabama snow hit. Our HVAC Specialist, Nick Watkins, was knowledgeable about our Ecobee thermostat and our natural gas logs. He cleaned the dust out of our pilot light so that the gas logs would cycle on and off to keep our living space toasty during the extremely cold weather. Nick even got our spare filter for the return air grill and replaced it. Recommend Banks Quarles for your HVAC needs!”
